We all enjoy a good crime mystery. Engage your students in chemistry by teaching them to solve forensic science mysteries. Solving a crime may involve determining what happened, how it happened, and whodunnit! Please join us to explore classroom activities which solve mysteries with forensic chemistry.
Hands-on activities, a curriculum binder, and lab supplies for the classroom will be provided free of charge to each educator that participates in this educational, entertaining workshop. A continental breakfast and lunch will be included. No chemistry background required!
TARGET AUDIENCE: 4th through 8th grade science educators (all educators are welcome).
REGISTRATION: Registration is free of charge; sponsored by Santa Clara Valley ACS with generous support from Gilead Sciences, Inc., Foster City, CA. Register early and no later than May 6, 2017.
